From Myanmar to Denver
Our story began in 1998, three years after our family moved from Myanmar to a refugee camp in Thailand. Life there was simple — no electricity or phones — but full of determination. That same spirit guided us years later when we came to the United States for better opportunities. Our goal has always been to build a future that honors our roots while sharing the flavors and warmth of Thai food with others.
The Journey to Swing Thai
Everything started at Swing Thai, where we worked hard washing dishes and serving guests while supporting family still in the camp. Through dedication and passion for hospitality, we learned what it takes to make people feel welcome. In 2019, we proudly took over Swing Thai from its founders, Jay and Duke — turning a lifelong dream into reality and creating a place where our family could work side by side.

Today, Swing Thai Tennyson at 4370 Tennyson St, Denver, CO 80212 continues to share that dream through authentic Thai cuisine made with care and purpose. Every dish reflects our journey from the refugee camp in 1998 to building a home in Denver. Our mission is simple: serve food that feels like family, thank our guests for their support, and keep growing with the community that made this dream possible.
